Miracle

- It's a wailing baby with stars in his eyes and the world in his hands, lying in a manger surrounded by careless humans and careful sheep. 
- It's pure olive oil burning when there is no olive oil left and eight more days of light in a darkened world. 
- It's the striking of a match and the warmth of a flame in a cold alley somewhere north of hope and a little south of dreams. 
- It's the laying down of arms in the frozen snow and the taking up of legs as lines are blurred and a ball is kicked through goalposts on opposite sides of a world at war. 
- It's lights on trees and candles in windows, and sugar plums and cookie crumbs.
